Faye Clunies-Ross

Hi, my name is Ms. Faye. I’ve been homeschooling for many years and started creating my own material when I found there seemed to be a gap in schooling curriculum, between learning the alphabet and reading well.

I first made Grade 1 workbooks for my daughter who was struggling to learn to read. She needed a fun and engaging book, with simple repetition for extra practice.

Other learning materials that I have created are Maze books, Project-learning activities, Journals and Recipe Books.

We live in northern Canada, near Alaska and my 2 youngest are still homeschooled.

I love project-based learning (PBL). It's such a great way to teach so many real life skills. Carpentry, gardening and creating something new are my favorite activities.

The products that I create are inspired by our northern farm life and my LORD and Saviour.

Hi! My name is Jennifer Collins. I love science and creating hands-on activities, worksheets, and self-paced core/elective science classes. I have over 25 years' experience teaching in the classroom, 15 years teaching online, and 5 years as a study skills coach.

I create the science online Canvas courses for the Ga Public School System. My family and I live in the North Ga Mountains on a mini farm. We raise chickens, quail, microgreens, and have lots of cats. In my spare time I love to hike in the Chattahoochee National Forest.

As a family we search for waterfalls, forage for mushrooms, and other nature related items for my home collection. I decided to stay home and teach virtually through my companywww.sciencewithmrscollins.comafter covid. I am thankful to have found a program like this to share the science material I have created.

Children Cooking Resources with Karolyn and Stephen Y.

We are a homeschooling Mother and Son duo behind Children Cooking Resources. We are passionate about encouraging parents and teachers to teach their children and students to cook because this is how our son learned to cook and now he is very passionate, knowledgeable and independent in the kitchen!

Stephen can now create his own recipes too and he teaches me new things that he has learned. I am also a Culinary Nutrition Expert from the Academy of Culinary Nutrition. I graduated with honours and love cooking for my family and creating new recipes to share with you.

We decided to create these resources so not only could other families and classes benefit from our knowledge but they can also help you to teach your children and students cook and also have fun together while learning. We also enjoy supporting kids who like to cook already.

Our teaching style is fun and hands on. This is the best way for kids to learn. When you’re having fun you naturally want to know more and you retain better what you have learned.

A definite proud moment for me is when our son is continually learning new cooking techniques and creates these amazing meals for our family to enjoy.

Christine Danielewicz

Christine Danielewicz has enjoyed writing ever since she could pick up a pencil. When she was in junior high, she dreamed of having a job where she would not have to take work home. It's interesting that she became a teacher and took bags of books and papers home every day. Somehow it was pure pleasure after all. No matter what subject she taught, though, her students always ended up doing a bit of creative writing. When she taught science, they wrote poems about the stars. When she taught social studies, they wrote plays about events in history. She wonders if they remember doing that and if they still write from time to time. While Chris has always loved teaching kids to read, now she is delighted to have the opportunity to be the one to write some books for them to enjoy. Soli Deo Gloria!

Marcie Holladay

Hi! I’m Marcie! I have 10 children who I’ve been homeschooling for the past 20 years. I love to write most of our homeschool lessons because it’s a creative outlet for me, because I can cater what we do to fit our family, and because I can’t afford individual lesson books for each child. Now I’m excited to share the curricula that we’ve loved with you! I hope many other families can make the special memories we’ve made over the years. I also hope it helps to support my family.

My children and I live on 36 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains where we love to hike, build forts, garden, play with our chickens, and milk our cow. I chronicle our daily life on my blog www.singlemomonafarm.com as well as write articles to help other moms. I love living here and I love being a mom!

Gina Underwood, M. Ed., LDT, CALT

Research has shown that 80% of all normal children learn to read by any method of teaching.  However, the remaining 20% who are physically and intellectually normal, but who have difficulty in  auditory, visual, and/or kinesthetic recognition or memory, must learn language skills through  logically structured, multisensory presentations.

In private practice, Gina Underwood works with these 20% who struggle with reading, writing, and  spelling. After spending countless hours helping hundreds of failing students, Gina knows that  employing all the senses is integral in developing a life-long love of learning. Reversing the spiraling  downward trend of low self-esteem due to repeated learning failures is possible through multisensory  learning. Gina knows that every person can succeed with the right tools and curriculum that engages  the senses.

She graduated with a Masters of Education in Dyslexia Therapy from Mississippi College. In her  Masters program, she provided dyslexia therapy using the Alphabetic Phonics curriculum to students  for over 1,000 clinical hours. She is a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist (LDT) with the state of Texas and  a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) with Academic Language Therapy Association  (ALTA).

Gina is a Dyslexia Practitioner, certified by the International Dyslexia Association. She is a  Structured Language/Dyslexia Interventionist with Center for Effective Reading Instruction.  Formerly, she was a Spalding Certified Teacher, certified by Spalding Education International. She  holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in the College of Education from the University of Texas at  Austin.
