Learn to Pick and Strum Somewhere Over the Rainbow Self-Paced Music Class for Beginning and Intermediate Ukulele, Ages 7+
In this 4 session self-paced, pre-recorded class, beginning and intermediate ukulele students will learn to pick and strum "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". No prior knowledge is required, but it is recommended that students take my "Surf" and/or "Wipeout" class first, where we will learn the chords (Surf) and I explain how to read ukulele tablature (tabs). The students need to already have their ukuleles tuned to the notes G, C, E and A.
Videos include:
Lesson 1: C, C7, G7, F and D7 chords.
Lesson 2: Review chords, playing the whole song with a basic 4 beat down strum pattern. Begin learning to finger-pick the melody of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Lesson 3: Continue to learn to finger-pick the melody to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"
Lesson 4: Review both picking and strumming "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". Students will also be shown 3 more difficult optional strum patterns for the song.
PDF files with the melody, chords, tabs and lyrics are included in this class.
