Living Lights Curriculum Quarter 2: All About Israel!

Welcome to Living Lights Curriculum!  Come explore the land of Israel with this brand-new curriculum!  Last quarter, children discovered the wonderful world of the original Winnie the Pooh.  Now, you can learn all about Israel!  It's definitely more than a land that is flowing with milk and honey!  

This 8-week (There will be 4 books for a full year) digital book with 294 pages contains core and elective subjects:

• Language Arts and Bible with Flashcards
• Math
• Social Studies
• Science
• Electives: Handicrafts, Music, Recipes, and Habit-Building

      *Book List and Math manipulatives sold separately.  The Math manipulative you should be able to use with items around your home.

Bible Stories: Embark on adventures that discuss and tell us all about women of the Bible.  Meet lots of women in the Bible including Rachel, Ruth, Rebekah, Lois and Eunice, and many more!

Social Studies: Dive into the fascinating world of Israel as children get to learn about Hebrew culture, money, animals, holidays, games, the weather, and much more!  Learners will even get to learn some Hebrew words and how to play the Dreidel game!  Another aspect of social studies is that children begin to learn all about the world around them through basic questions about Geography.

Montessori Math Mastery: Equip students with a solid mathematical foundation using Montessori-inspired methods. Through tactile manipulatives, learners engage with mathematical concepts such as addition and subtraction. The emphasis is on hands-on learning experiences that promote conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and mathematical fluency.

Creative Handicrafts: Unleash students' creativity and fine motor skills through a variety of handicraft projects inspired by biblical times like making homemade mud bricks.  Who knows what your child can build! There are 4 projects provided in this curriculum during quarter 2.

Culinary Adventures: Embark on a culinary journey around the world as students discover what types of foods Jewish people eat along with holidays and how they relate to Jewish culture.  These recipes are straight from Israel so you can't really find these delicious recipes anywhere else!

Composer's Corner: Immerse students in the rich tapestry of classical music as they explore the lives and works of renowned, Jewish composers. During quarter 2, learners will explore those composers who are of Jewish genealogy.  

Historical and Geographical Expeditions: During quarter 2, learners will enjoy finding out all about the world around them, review each continent, and begin to learn about different landforms such as lakes, islands, peninsulas, etc...  They will also discover some facts about volcanoes, directions, and how to read a map.

Letter Tracing Adventures: Build strong literacy skills from the ground up with engaging letter tracing activities. If your child is ready to pursue writing, letters have been provided for them to trace.  

Flashcards: Created with love, these flashcards are the perfect way to help children learn Bible verses, Christian catechisms, and poems.  Children will also be able to learn various Hebrew words which correspond with American English words.  It's loads of fun!
